Etti's whole point is that we don't want your data. This page spells out, specifically and truthfully, what we touch, how long we hold it, and who else is involved. We follow the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles.

Your files (Etti Voice)

• The document you upload is processed on Etti's own server in Australia. It is not handed to a third-party AI service.
• Your original file is deleted the moment your audio is ready. We don't read it, keep a copy, or train anything on it.
• The finished audio sits behind an unguessable link for 24 hours so you can download it. After that, the file is deleted too.

Etti Awake

Etti Awake runs on your machine. The only time it talks to us is the one-off activation, which sends your licence key and a hashed fingerprint of your computer (a scrambled ID — never anything readable about you or your machine). After activation it never connects to the internet again, and nothing it does is logged or sent anywhere.

What we do keep

• Your email address, if you give us one — used only to send you your audio link, your licence key, or a reply. If you join the mailing list, every email has an unsubscribe link (as the Spam Act requires).
• Payment records. Stripe processes every payment; we see your receipt (what you bought, when, and the email on the payment) but never your card number.
• Licence records for Etti Awake — your key, the email it was issued to, and its activation count — so we can re-issue or reset it for you.
• Tax records we're legally required to hold.

What we don't do

• We don't sell your data or share it for marketing.
• We don't train AI models on your uploads.
• We don't run analytics or advertising trackers, and we don't build profiles of visitors.
• We don't make you create an account. If we ever offer accounts, they'll be email plus a one-time code — never a password.

Who else touches your data

Four services help run Etti, each holding only what its job needs:

• Stripe — takes your payment and holds your card and billing details. We never see the card number.
• Formspree — delivers contact-form and newsletter signups to us, so it holds what you type into those forms.
• Cloudflare — carries traffic between your browser and Etti's server (DNS and tunnel transit). Your file passes through encrypted; Cloudflare doesn't store it.
• Resend — sends our transactional email (your audio link, your licence key), so it processes your email address and those messages.

Your rights

Ask us any time what we hold about you (it won't be much), ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it — email hello@etti.com.au and we'll respond within 30 days. If you're not happy with our answer you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
